After Tuesday’s victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors – lead by Stephen Curry – won their 83 game of the season.
Impressive as it sounds on the surface, it’s even more amazing when you find out those 83 wins were the third most in NBA history.
Yep, the Golden State Warriors were that good.

Michael Jordan and his 72-win Chicago Bulls obviously are first on the list and widely regarded (obvious statistics aside) as one of the greatest basketball teams ever assembled. And while few would put Steph Curry’s Golden State Warriors in such a high regard at this point, numbers wise, they’re pretty darn close.
