Former NBA Players Fight In Chinese Basketball Playoffs

NBA chinese basketball fight

While the Chinese Basketball Association isn’t bringing over NBA stars en mass, they do have a few mildly popular names playing in their league like Metta World Peace, Von Wafer, Hamed Haddadi and Jeremy Tyler.

The latter three of those four recently made headlines, though it wasn’t for their on court play but rather an on court melee which featured the former NBA players fighting in a massive brawl during the CBA playoffs.

Things all started when Von Wafer unleashed a nasty cheap shot with a punch to the stomach of Qingdao’s Xudong Luo.

He was of course ejected and unable to control his anger, threw a chair into the crowd, hitting fans in the process.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, that was just the start of the former NBA players getting into a fight as the emotions spilled over into the tunnel which turned into an all out brawl.

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen anything like this in the NBA, of course, though the infamous Malice At The Palace between the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons was just as bad, if not worse. The preseason fight between the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Lakers from the early 2000’s was also pretty impressive, though only featured wives hitting players with purses – not fans were involved during that go-around.

I've written on a lot of your favorite websites while I live in my mother's basement. If you only knew what a hard time I'm having holding these alligators down. Woo. | Twitter: @GuyHut | FB: @GuyHutSports
