Enes Kanter Demands Trade From Utah Jazz

Enes Kanter

One of the top centers in the NBA, Enes Kanter has a bright future. It just won’t be with the Utah Jazz, at least, that’s the hope of Kanter who has demanded a trade.

The third overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, the Switzerland native took a while to acclimate himself to the NBA but has morphed into one of the best young big men in the league. However, he has become disgruntled with his current franchise as Enes Kanter has requested to be traded from the Utah Jazz.

Frustrated by his role during his three-plus years in Utah, center Enes Kanter told The Salt Lake Tribune he hopes to be traded before this year’s deadline.

Kanter expressed his frustration after Wednesday’s 87-82 loss to the Mavericks, a game in which Kanter left with an eye injury but never returned despite his claim that he was healthy enough to play.

The bad news for the Utah Jazz is that Enes Kanter wants to be traded. The good news for the Utah Jazz is that Enes Kanter will bring back quite a bit of value if a trade is made.

In addition to being just 22-years-old, Kanter is still under contract next season (qualifying offer) so he won’t be a one-year rental meaning the Jazz will be able to pull more out of a trade.

As of right now it’s not known who is interested in the big man, though given his talent and age, there probably won’t be a team in the NBA who doesn’t make an offer before the deadline.
