NBA Execs: Dwyane Wade To Sign With Lakers Or Cavs?

Dwyane Wade

Nobody really knows how serious the drama surrounding Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat really is, but the longer the situation goes on the more prone for a messy divorce it becomes.

And with that, multiple NBA teams are foaming at the mouth to sign the NBA All-Star. That includes the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers, this according to multiple NBA executives.

That’s the word from CBS Sports who reports the Cavs and Lakers will make a play for Dwyane Wade if he becomes a free agent.

As for Wade, rival executives are split on whether he and Riley will be able to reach a compromise that will keep him in Miami. One Western Conference executive told CBSSports.com there are strong indications Wade is gone, with Cleveland and the Lakers chief among his likely destinations. Another Western team, however, is betting on Riley to find the middle ground. “I don’t see why they’d argue and fight after what they’ve both done for each other and for that franchise,” the exec said.

Joining the Cavs makes sense for Dwyane Wade considering he’d get to play alongside LeBron James yet again and would give the Eastern Conference champions yet another talent to go alongside Kyrie Irving and possibly Kevin Love. Though, Wade would have to take a serious financial discount.

As for joining the Lakers, DWade would be able to make more money but Kobe Bryant isn’t exactly getting younger so they’d need to sell the Miami Heat star on the future. Either way, it appears to be a messy situation in South Beach.
