There’s no denying that Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade and actress Gabrielle Union aren’t madly in love, at least from a public standpoint as the two can’t seemingly get enough of each other. But despite getting hitched last year, the two technically aren’t married – at least not from a legal standpoint.
Sound a little strange? Well, according to Gossip Extra, it’s the case as the two never returned their marriage license and aren’t officially married because of it.
His state license to marry actress Gabrielle Union has yet to find its way into state records nearly six months after their Cinderella wedding!
And that, says Miami-Dade County marriage license manager Roberto Reboso, could be a problem for the lovebirds if they ever want to prove they’re indeed hitched!
“We know they’re married from what they said on TV,” Reboso said. “And they obtained a marriage license before the ceremony.
“But they still haven’t returned the licensed signed by the person who officiated the ceremony,” Reboso said. “So their marriage has not been recorded by the state.”
You’d think that would a relatively easy item to send back, especially with all the assistance both Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union have in their life. Not that there’s anything wrong with not officially being married, though it is a little weird.
