I’m not sure if Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors and Hassan Whiteside of the Miami Heat have much of an off-court relationship, though it appears the two are ready to battle it out this season after their rather humorous Twitter beef.
And what was the issue all about, you ask? Small ball.
Whiteside, who experienced a career resurgence in South Beach after being forced out of the league, decided to suggest that small ball – the style of basketball Green’s Warriors play – only works on players that can’t score.
Small ball only works on centers that can’t score #factsonly I wish you would put Someone that 6’6 on me #careerhigh #highschooldays

Green seemingly took offense to such:
Can you score doe? Bigs becoming dinosaurs — Draymond Green (@Money23Green) August 26, 2015
A few users on social media pointed out that Hassan Whiteside put up better scoring numbers than Draymond Green, who countered with the fact that the Miami Heat center only did so in a small fraction of games and stated that he isn’t a guy who scores down low, like Whiteside.
Either way, the NBA season can not get here soon enough.
Somewhere, Stephen Curry is laughing at all this.
