Good news isn’t something associated with Derrick Rose (at least during the past few years) but there was a positive this morning after it was announced the Chicago Bulls only expect the former NBA MVP to miss 4-6 weeks with his knee injury.
Ironically enough, on the same day that was announced, Derrick Rose’s new Powerade commercial which features 2pac was released drawing much fanfare.
The spot features Rose growing up and takes the viewers on a quick though relatively thorough adventure through Rose’s upbringing. The commercial makes a play off of Tupac’s famed suggestion of a rose growing through concrete and features the deceased rapper giving a narrating voice over.
You can’t really screw up anything that involves 2Pac and it was nice to see Powerade include the slain MC in the commercial spot with Derrick Rose.
Hopefully with Derrick Rose now on the mend, we’ll be able to see the Chicago Bulls star return for the NBA playoffs and get to see this commercial aired a few times in the process.
