Earlier today it was said that DeMarcus Cousins wouldn’t mind playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.
That might be true, but it didn’t come from the proverbial horses mouth.
For the first time since the DeMarcus Cousins trade rumors broke, the All-Star big man finally broke his silence. And what did he say? Is he seeking a trade to the Lakers? Boston Celtics?
Negative.
Asked by a fan on Twitter if he wanted to remain with the Sacramento Kings, DeMarcus Cousins gave a simple though straight forward answer.
‘Absolutely’, stated the former Kentucky star.

While much has been made about the DeMarcus Cousins rumors, this is the first time we’ve heard from Cousins and it’s a pretty strong statement.
This past season, Cousins was reportedly rather unhappy with his agents after they stated a mild disturbance before the Kings hired current head coach, George Karl, and there have been suggestions this is more posturing on the part of his agent again, than DeMarcus Cousins’ desire to be traded.
It could also be the Sacramento Kings star trying to save face after reports surfaced that he reportedly requested a trade last month.
Either way, according to DeMarcus Cousins himself, he wants to stay with the Sacramento Kings.
