Earlier today it was stated the LA Lakers were preparing to make trade offers for DeMarcus Cousins.
There’s apparelty a reason for that as ESPN’s Brian Windhorst is reporting that DeMarcus Cousins has requested a trade.
Cousins has routinely clashed with the rather unstable organization over the years, though with a new GM in Vlade Divac it was expected things would potential turn the corner. Cousins may not want to wait around though, as noted by Windhorst.

It’s an understandable request on the part of DeMarcus Cousins who has spent a handful of years playing for a struggling Kings franchise, but with a relatively new owner and a brand new arena set to open it’s a little bit of an odd time to request a trade. Still, it was reported the All-Star big man was very unhappy when the Kings fired head coach Michael Malone during the middle of last season.
In addition to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic and multiple other teams are said to be interested in a DeMarcus Cousins trade.
Cousins, for what its worth, has yet to confirm the alleged trade request.
