D’Angelo Russell Calls Out Lakers Fans: They Are Spoiled

Lakers Court

While D’Angelo Russell has all the skills needed to succeed on an NBA court, the Lakers PR team is probably wishing he’d just leave it like that and stop opening his mouth.

Just a few days ago the former Ohio State star suggested that Tracy McGrady – not Kobe Bryant – was the best NBA player he had ever seen play. Now he’s back, suggesting that there are a lot of ‘spoiled’ Los Angeles Lakers fans.

In fairness, he’s simply suggesting that fans of the Southern California basketball franchise haven’t experienced much losing in their history given their runs with Jerry West, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant.

Still, he may have been better served to just remain quiet on the issue:

“There’s a lot of spoiled Lakers fans. I wasn’t downgrading Kobe at all. I was just watching a highlight tape of Tracy McGrady and I got excited. I tweeted and the whole state of California went crazy.”

Somebody might want to get D’Angelo Russell a shovel.

I've written on a lot of your favorite websites while I live in my mother's basement. If you only knew what a hard time I'm having holding these alligators down. Woo. | Twitter: @GuyHut | FB: @GuyHutSports
