The Los Angeles Clippers are attempting to recruit Jack Nicholson from the Lakers.
On Sunday morning famed actor and Los Angeles Lakers fan Jack Nicholson suggested he had become so disgusted with his favorite team, he was thinking about giving up his Lakers tickets.
It was difficult to tell if Jack Nicholson was simply having fun or being serious, but whatever the case, news of Jack Nicholson selling his Lakers tickets made headlines.
The news even reached fellow Staples Center tennats, the Los Angeles Clippers, as guard Austin Rivers (son of head coach Doc Rivers) says Jack Nicholson should ditch the Lakers and start rooting for the Clippers as he told TMZ.
That’s what Clippers prodigy Austin Rivers is hoping for … especially with Jack telling TMZ Sports this week that he’s not as obsessed with the Lake Show as he used to be.
Rivers — the son of Clippers president/coach Doc Rivers — was out in L.A. and told us, “I’m trying to get him over on our side man!”
Could you imagine Jack Nicholson rooting for Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan and company instead of Kobe Bryant and Nick Young? It’s actually not as far fetched as it sounds considering the iconic basketball fan attended a Clippers playoff game last season though we still have a hard time believing Jack will give up on his Lakers.
