Clippers, Heat, Hornets Interested In Arron Afflalo Trade

Arron Afflalo

Currently sitting on the outside of the Western Conference’s playoff race, the Denver Nuggets know they’ll need a pretty significant turnaround to make the postseason. Given that, some believe those in the Mile High City are already looking towards next season and are in the process of asset collection.

They’ve already traded Timofey Mozgov to the Cleveland Cavaliers and a few players could be changing zip codes in the near future.

David Aldridge of NBA.com has already stated that Wilson Chandler is available and according to Ramona Shelburne, so is combo guard/forward Arron Afflalo.

Multiple teams have expressed trade interest in the veteran including the Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat and Charlotte Hornets.

While Afflalo is by no stretch a star talent, he certainly brings enough talent to be a ‘missing piece’ for a lot of contending teams. Considering that, the list of who is interested in the guard is likely much deeper than the three aforementioned teams.

As for Arron Afflalo’s contractual status, he does have a player option worth $7.5 million dollars for the 2015-16 season though it seems questionable if he’d exercise such as he’d likely prefer a more financial sure contract.
