Chris Paul Breaks Mike Conley’s Ankles With Killer Crossover

Chris Paul

As a basketball player on defense, you fear one of two things.

Either being put on a poster after a bigger player dunks on you or getting destroyed on a dribble drive.

For Mike Conley of the Memphis Grizzlies, he unfortunately experienced the latter at the hands of Los Angeles Clippers star Chris Paul.

With the Clippers nursing a two-point lead over the Grizzlies early in the third quarter, Paul made his way towards the three-point line and began to show off a little schoolyard action. Conley did what he could to stay with the fast dribbling All-Star, but apparently got his feet tangled and ended up plastered on the floor thanks to a nasty crossover.

Now there are two ways to react after getting crossed up. You can either stumble a bit and recover, which seems to save a bit of your pride. Or you can do exactly what Mike Conley did and fall on your backside, looking silly in the process.

I have to give the Memphis guard credit though – he stuck through that one and did what he could to stay with Cp3. It didn’t work and he ended up getting burned because of it, but at least he took it like a man.
