Chandler Parsons Takes Another Shot At Houston Rockets?

Man, it’s been a busy week for NBA players throwing shade. We’ve already seen Dion Waiters take a shot at LeBron James and James Harden do the same against the Golden State Warriors. Now it’s Chandler Parsons of the Dallas Mavericks throwing verbal jabs at his former team, the Houston Rockets.

Parsons of course had somewhat of a nasty divorce when he left the Rockets in free agency to sign with the Mavs this past offseason. The decision even had Rockets GM Daryl Morey and Mavericks owner Mark Cuban firing bombs off at each before everything eventually calmed down.

Now things are starting to get heated again after Parsons, when asked what the best thing playing for the Dallas Mavericks was, gave the following response.

Had he left out the “really” part this probably wouldn’t be blowing up like it is, however that seemed to indicate he didn’t believe the Houston Rockets were ever real contenders for the NBA Championship.

Perhaps it was nothing more than the slip of the tongue (well, keyboard) but it certainly looked a little questionable to say the least, especially given the recent history.
