Chandler Parsons Rips DeAndre Jordan: Not Franchise Player

DeAndre Jordan

Remember yesterday when Chandler Parsons of the Dallas Mavericks started an emoji war as he flew to Houston in effort to recruit DeAndre Jordan?

The same Parsons who pitched and successfully (or so we all thought) wooed DeAndre Jordan to sign with the Mavs? Yeah, well today he’s changed his tune and is now taking shots at the Los Angeles Clippers center.

Jordan, who reportedly wanted a bigger offensive role, which is why he originally planned to sign with the Mavericks, was called out by Parsons who said DeAndre Jordan is not ready to be a franchise player.

“I’m shocked, very disappointed, frustrated, disrespected. This is something that I’ve never seen in my career, and I know that it doesn’t happen very often. When a man gives you his word and an organization his word, especially when that organization put in so much effort and I walked him through this process and was very, very open and willing to work with him, it’s just very unethical and disrespectful.”

Burn, baby, burn like disco inferno.

I’m not sure DeAndre Jordan was a franchise player with the Mavs either, though, you can understand the frustration coming out of Texas.

Mavs owner Mark Cuban has also expressed frustration over the situation, understandably. Dirk Nowitzki, meanwhile has been quiet as Jordan reunited with his boys Blake Griffin and Chris Paul in LA.
