It’s been well documented that LeBron James has went above and beyond in his courting of Ray Allen and it’s possible his efforts made an impression.
While Allen has yet to make a final decision on if he’ll play this season or not, the former NBA All-Star has reportedly been in contact with the Cavaliers in recent weeks, only increasing Cavs rumors suggesting Ray Allen could sign with Cleveland.
The Cavs have been in contact with Ray Allen’s camp in recent days, but still no decision has been made on where (or even if) Allen will play this season. It remains possible Allen has played his last NBA game.
The Cleveland Cavaliers aren’t the only team to express interest in signing Ray Allen as the Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards all have varying levels of interest, though many have believed it was the Cavs who were Allen’s top choice.
It’s expected that Ray Allen will make a decision on if he’ll play this season once the NBA’s All-Star break is over, but considering his most recent talks, Cavs rumors are going to be all the rage in the coming days.
As far as Ray Allen speaking with other teams, it is not known if he’s currently in talks or if he’s only spoken to the Cavs.
