Kyrie Irving Writes Emotional Instagram Post To Cavs Fans

Kyrie Irving

Sometimes athletes can be a little too dramatic but not in the case of Kyrie Irving who went down with a broken kneecap during Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Ironically enough, the injury didn’t look that bad on TV (says the guy watching from his couch) but you could tell the way Irving was walking, something wasn’t right for the Cavs point guard.

Little did we know that LeBron James‘ right-hand man would break his kneecap and will now obviously miss the remainder of the NBA Finals against Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

You never want to see a player go down with injury, let alone in the NBA Finals where you’re just a handful of games from potentially becoming a champion. Who knows if you’ll ever get there again?

That’s something the point guard is well aware of as he penned a rather emotional Instagram post once he had time to process the injury:

If there is a silver lining for Kyrie Irving, it’s that he does play alongside LeBron James, the same man who has made five consecutive NBA Finals. Given that, it’s likely Irving will have another shot to play in such again. Still, he certainly handled the situation about as well as one could.

I've written on a lot of your favorite websites while I live in my mother's basement. If you only knew what a hard time I'm having holding these alligators down. Woo. | Twitter: @GuyHut | FB: @GuyHutSports
