When Carmelo Anthony re-signed with the New York Knicks this past offseason, he likely knew it would be a slightly bumpy road until the team could afford to bring in some additional talent at season end. What he didn’t expect was the road to be littered with pot and sink holes, swallowing the Knicks alive.
Now one of the NBA’s worst teams, Anthony, who is said to be playing hurt has let his frustrations vent after a New York Knicks fan began harassing him over his defense.
With Melo standing by the Knicks bench, a fan questioned his defense effort which didn’t sit well with the All-Star.
While you can understand why Carmelo Anthony didn’t appreciate getting called out, it’s not as if the fan said anything bad or untrue because Melo doesn’t really play defense. That said, the last thing Anthony wants to hear is a fan calling him out in the midst of this debacle.
It’s just more of the same for the soap opera we call the New York Knicks. Even fans can’t stand their played out ways and apparently, the Knicks can’t stand the bellyaching fans either.
The end of the season All-Star break can’t come fast enough for those in the Big Apple.
