Oklahoma City Thunder star and former NBA MVP Kevin Durant isn’t even a free agent this offseason, but that doesn’t mean he wont be the talk of the summer.
In fact, we aren’t even done with the NBA Finals yet, but rumors are already surfacing regarding Durant’s plans which apparently don’t involve OKC.
According to an anonymous NBA player, it’s very likely that Kevin Durant will sign with the Washington Wizards when he does become a free agent.
“It wouldn’t be a bad idea [to join an East team],” added another NBA player. “I’m pretty sure Kevin Durant is going to start it off and go home to [the Washington Wizards in] D.C.”
Of course, we have zero clue who this player is. Might it be a current member of the Wizards – perhaps some wishful thinking on the part of a guy like John Wall or Bradley Beal? There’s no way it could be a member of the Thunder right? Maybe Russell Westbrook is hoping…
Just kidding. Kind of.
In all seriousness though, while there is some additional validity to the idea because the suggestion is coming from an NBA player, until we know who said it, it’s just another fan on the flames.
