Allen Iverson Documentary On Showtime Looks Epic (Video)

Allen Iverson

In recent months we’ve seen both Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant have their own documentaries, now it’s the turn of former Philadelphia 76ers icon Allen Iverson.

A.I., who recently expressed interest in joining the Sixers front office is the subject of the documentary which is set to premiere on Showtime on Saturday, May 16th.

There isn’t a ton known about the Allen Iverson documentary, other than the title ‘IVERSON’ but the 96-minute show will likely be pretty epic, especially if it covers all of A.I.’s on and off-court ‘situations’.

Don’t forget – this is the same guy who dropped 40K on a nightly basis every time the 76ers hit a strip club.

Both the Durant and Bryant ‘movies’ were pretty awesome, so I have to assume the Allen Iverson documentary will follow in their footsteps. And let’s face it, is there anything that involves Allen Iverson that isn’t awesome?

Hopefully the film will give the younger generation an idea as to how important Allen Iverson was to basketball and the NBA, since many only saw his latter years with the Denver Nuggets and Detroit Pistons.

From the iconic crossover of Michael Jordan to stepping over Tyronn Lue during the NBA Finals, there’s a lot more to Allen Iverson than just highlights.
