Dodgers’ Yasiel Puig Painfully Slams Into Wall After Catch (Video)

Yasiel Puig

You may not like Yasiel Puig of the Los Angeles Dodgers because of his on-field antics, and that’s fine, but there’s no denying the guy can play baseball.

Sure, his bat flip is cocky and yes, he sometimes looks as if he’s dreaming about cookies and milk in the outfield, but that wasn’t the case today as the Dodgers and Chicago Cubs played in a spring training matinee.

With Anthony Rizzo up to bat for the Cubs, the powerful left-handed bat hit a deep fly ball to right-center and for a moment it looked as if the ball was going to clear the fence. That’s when Yasiel Puig came barreling into your view and leaped high to make an absurdly good catch.

But what comes up must come down and that resulted in a nasty slam into the wall for Yasiel Puig who was in clear pain.

The outfielder remained down on the field for a few moments, likely catching his breath, though was able to get up under his own power and remained in the game.

You don’t often see players, especially those of Yaisel Puig’s caliber, going that hard during spring training, which was pretty nice to see.

I've written on a lot of your favorite websites while I live in my mother's basement. If you only knew what a hard time I'm having holding these alligators down. Woo. | Twitter: @GuyHut | FB: @GuyHutSports
