Yasiel Puig Has No Cares For Dodgers Cutoff Man (Video)

Yasiel Puig

It’s been well documented that Yasiel Puig doesn’t like the cutoff man. In fact, the Los Angeles Dodgers star couldn’t help but laugh when playing the The Show video game as his virtual player actually threw to the cutoff man.

But the real life Yasiel Puig? Yeah, that’s not going to happen, even in a spring training game against the rival San Francisco Giants.

With Brandon Crawford on first base, a sharp single was hit into right field by Matt Duffy. Crawford had no intentions of going to third base, but just in case he did, Puig tossed a rainbow laser to third base as the Dodgers broadcast duo couldn’t help but chastise him for the poor baseball play.

Brandon Crawford didn’t end up making it to third base (nor did he ever try) so in the end, it’s no big deal. But the announcers all but suggest that if the Giants shortstop had attempted it, a bad throw from Puig likely would allowed such.

Of course, there was no bad throw, so should Yasiel Puig be chastised for it? Perhaps not the smart baseball play, but if it works and is effective is there anything wrong with it?!
