Good news for New York Yankees fans who want Alex Rodriguez back on the field (all seven of you)? He’s said to be in fantastic shape. The bad news? The New York Yankees understandably want nothing to do with A-Rod.
The third baseman, who apparently believes he deserves the starting spot over Chase Headley, recently requested a meeting with the Bronx Bombers in hopes of “clearing the air”. There was no mutual interest in such however according to the New York Daily News.
The disgraced superstar offered to meet face-to-face with team executives to apologize for his role in the Biogenesis scandal and clear the air before players report to Tampa next month, the Daily News has learned, but the Yankee brass declined the invitation, telling Rodriguez, “We’ll see you in spring training.”
Ouch.
As for the svelter look? It’s not an over the top transformation by any stretch, but Alex Rodriguez hasn’t apparently let his body go to the wayside either.
Rodriguez, described by one source as now looking noticeably thinner and “massless” than in previous years
The Yankees are doing everything they can to wash their hands of A-Rod yet like a bad rash, he continues to come back over and over.
