What can’t Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson do? Not only does he lead his team to the Super Bowl (despite a loss to the New England Patriots), he’s also a fine baseball player.
Granted, he won’t be channeling his inner-Bo Jackson in the near future as he’s committed to football, but that doesn’t mean Russell Wilson’s baseball skills have declined since his college days.
Property of the Texas Rangers, Wilson has spent the last few years participating in spring training, which is something he did earlier this week. He doesn’t ton a ton outside of take infield and batting practice, but he certainly raised some eyebrows with her performance.
That included Russell Wilson hitting a home run during Rangers spring training as can be seen below:

Not a bad stroke on the part of the Seattle Seahawks quarterback, though, there were plenty of swings and misses as well. And yes, the pitch was left up and in a prime location, but hitting a home run – even off a 70 mph fat pitch – still isn’t an easy task for a non-Major League Baseball player.
Maybe next year Russell Wilson will convince the Seahawks to let him partake in an actual game.
