So imagine you’re Toronto Blue Jays top prospect Daniel Norris and you’re out enjoying a nice game of catch on the field early in the morning. Then all of a sudden you look over at the infield and notice your Volkswagen van is doing donuts while ace pitcher R.A. Dickey drives the vehicle around the stadium.
Sounds like a dream after a night of acid drops, but that’s exactly what happened to the Toronto Blue Jays prospect on Thursday morning.
Dickey, hand hanging out of the VW’s window giving what appears to be a rock on sign (at least, that’s what I hope it is) posted a picture of the hilarious incident to his Twitter account:
Stole Daniel norris’ van and drove it on the infield…. Smooth ride but I need some power steering. #vwvansaresweet pic.twitter.com/9Xn7NjIhhg

Daniel Norris has been teased relentlessly about his VW van (as are most young players with sub par cars) but the knuckleball pitcher clearly took things up a notch when he decided to commandeer Norris’ ride which he allegedly bought for $10,000 bucks not that long ago.
Funny as the situation was, I’m guessing the Toronto Blue Jays grounds crew wasn’t exactly thrilled with tires in the outfield grass.
