No matter how good you are, you can always use pitching. Given that, it makes sense as to why the Los Angeles Dodgers would be looking for an additional arm to put behind Clayton Kershaw and the rest of LA’s starting five.
The Dodgers also happen to have a logjam in the outfield with Carl Crawford, Yasiel Puig and Joc Pederson handling all the starting spots which has left Andre Ethier stapled to the bench.
But could a trade be in the works? Perhaps, depending on who you believe.
According to Bleacher Report, there have been MLB trade rumors suggesting the Dodgers could trade Andre Ethier down the I-5 freeway to the Angels for pitcher C.J. Wilson.
It’s actually a trade that makes some sense on the surface as it’s two untradeable players (thanks to their albatross contracts) being swapped to two different teams who could actually use them.
But Bill Shaikin says he hasn’t heard much about the potential trade rumblings:
FYI: There is no traction for a trade involving Andre Ethier and C.J. Wilson, per source. Not clear that either team would do it.

For now it does not appear that any trade is imminent but it’s certainly worth keeping an eye on things.
