The Detroit Tigers have a solid starting pitching rotation (at least in name talent like David Price and Justin Verlander) and the New York Yankees aren’t exactly hurting either.
But starting pitching is always a commdity and it appears both the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees have their eyes on Cincinnati Reds starter Johnny Cueto.
Over the past few days, multiple teams have been said to scout Cueto, including the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers with the Yankees and Tigers becoming the most recent baseball franchises to do so.
In turn, the Reds have sent scouts to games involving both Tigers and Yankees prospects:

The Cincinnati Reds are essentially open for business, especially when it comes to anybody not names Joey Votto, so it wouldn’t be shocking to see a Johnny Cueto trade at some point in the next month plus.
Of course, the price will not be cheap, especially considering how many teams are likely to show interest.
There is speculation those teams could also be interested in Mike Leake along with Cueto and possibly closer Aroldis Chapman.
