Stop me if you’ve heard this before – the Philadelphia Phillies are trying to trade Cole Hamels.
And stop me again if you’ve heard this one – the Texas Rangers are trying to trade for Cole Hamels.
It seems like the rumor comes around every few weeks and like clockwork, it’s back. But are the MLB rumors any more serious this go around? It’s difficult to tell, though according to Jon Morosi, the Texas Rangers and Philadelphia Phillies are indeed having Cole Hamels trade talks yet again.
Perhaps the biggest news out of all of this however is the fact that Cole Hamels is allegedly willing to waive his no-trade clause if he’s acquired by the Texas Rangers, as that’s not something we’ve heard before.
That could suggest the trade discussions are a little more advanced than previous attempts.

It’s not known what the Texas Rangers would be sending the Philadelphia Phillies in a Cole Hamels trade, though the price seemingly continues to go down by the day given his rather large contract.
For now, it’s worth keeping an eye on.
