MLB Rumors: Angels Trying To Trade Josh Hamilton

Josh Hamilton

When the Los Angeles Angels signed Josh Hamilton a few years back, they likely knew they were taking a risk.

But they probably didn’t think much of it considering Hamilton had been overly productive both on and off the field. Of course, it didn’t take long for them to realize things weren’t going as planned because the former Texas Rangers star was struggling on the diamond.

Now, he’s struggling off as the outfielder had a relapse with his drug and/or drinking issues and is suspended from the team.

Apparently not interested in bringing him back, the Angels have looked into a variety of ways to move on from Josh Hamilton and are now said to be looking into possible trades (among other possibilities).

However, nothing appears close according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

The only way the Angels will be able to trade Josh Hamilton is if they absorb almost all of his absurdly large contract and take back no talent in return. At that point, there becomes little reason for the Angels to make such a move as they’d be better off trying to void his contract or bringing him back.

Simply put – would you trade for him as a rival GM!?
