Dodgers Owner Talks Trash After Sweeping Giants

Dodgers Hat

Clayton Kershaw, Zack Greinke and the Los Angeles Dodgers did a lot to secure their potential playoff birth this week with a sweep of Buster Posey‘s San Francisco Giants, pushing their National League West lead to a commanding 6.5 games.

Needless to say, it would take a rather epic collapse for the Dodgers to miss the playoffs.

That’s something Dodgers owner Mark Walter is well aware of, especially after he decided to talk a little trash in the direction of the Giants.

Outside of the Yankees and Red Sox and possibly the Cubs and Cardinals, there isn’t a more traditioned rivalry in baseball better than that of the Dodgers and Giants. Granted, it’s not very often that we see owners getting in on the heated exchanges and in fairness to Walter, he didn’t really go overboard by any stretch – but still – it’s some bulletin board matieral for the Giants.

And of course, had San Francisco not won three of the last five World Series’, the trash talking might be better served.

Regardless, still rather amusing.
