Derek Jeter: I Do Not Miss Baseball At All

Derek Jeter

For the first time in nearly two decades, baseball is without Derek Jeter.

Of course, no one player makes the game and the former New York Yankees shortstop was a shell of his former self. All that said, the game certainly misses Jeter’s presence. But does he miss the game? Not really.

The New York Yankees icon has been a bit of a recluse since he decided to retire at the end of last season, but recently made a radio appearance in which he discussed life after baseball.

He was asked if he missed the game he loved since he was a young boy and shockingly, the answer was no.

Think Derek Jeter misses his baseball career? Guess again. Jeter surfaced Wednesday night, being interviewed by his own The Players Tribune on SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio and answered that question emphatically. “The question I always got was, ‘Do you miss it?’ and I always say, ‘Wait until spring training starts at least or the season starts,’ but to be honest with you, I don’t miss it at all,” Jeter said. “You know, it was the right time for me, so I’m content with what I’m doing now.”

Now, there were some items that Derek Jeter says he misses but the daily grind of the 162 game schedule, etc, is not something he’ll be wishing for anytime soon apparently.

And honestly? What’s to miss when you spend your time taking pictures with Nicki Minaj and her exposed boob.

I've written on a lot of your favorite websites while I live in my mother's basement. If you only knew what a hard time I'm having holding these alligators down. Woo. | Twitter: @GuyHut | FB: @GuyHutSports
