Cleveland Indians Player Farts In Catchers’ Faces

Jacobs Field

Being a Major League catcher is difficult enough as is. I mean, you’re dealing with pitchers who have no idea where they’re throwing the ball to half of the time. That leads to scuds in the dirt which bounce up and drill you in the legs, arms, chest and sometimes your man region.

That doesn’t even take into account all the foul tips that blast off your fingers and head.

There’s not much that would make the position worse. Well, actually, there is as Cleveland Indians infielder Jason Kipnis who says he has farted in the opposing catchers face on purpose.

Seemingly taking part in a Q&A session on Twitter, Kipnis was asked if he ever accidentally farted in a catchers face.

The witty baseball player gave the following reply:

It’s difficult to tell if the baseball player was actually being serious or joking, though I’m going to go with the latter here. Then again, it is a pretty good tactic and perhaps something players actually do. Of course, you do it too much and you might catch a fastball to the ribs so perhaps the batter might want to expel his gasses on defense to avoid such.

I've written on a lot of your favorite websites while I live in my mother's basement. If you only knew what a hard time I'm having holding these alligators down. Woo. | Twitter: @GuyHut | FB: @GuyHutSports
