Clayton Kershaw Hit In Face By Line Drive (Video)

Clayton Kershaw

Nobody wants to see a player go down with injury, let alone a star talent. But when it’s a franchise player like Clayton Kershaw gets hit in the face by a line drive, fans, especially Los Angeles Dodgers fans, can’t help but worry.

That’s exactly what they did today after Kershaw was blasted in a spring training game against the Oakland A’s.

The Dodgers ace immediately fell to the ground after the baseball struck him, though shockingly was able to get up on his feet and remained in the game in a rather shocking turn of events.

Per Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports:

Even if Clayton Kershaw wasn’t injured (and he didn’t appear to be, despite the scary circumstances) it was a little odd to see the Dodgers leave their star player out on the mound. Perhaps a little convincing from Kershaw was all Don Mattingly and crew needed, as you’d have to imagine they would have taken every precaution needed if he even remotely injured.
