It’s been a while since Brian Wilson was a member of the San Francisco Giants and his departure from his former franchise wasn’t the best. But Buster Posey‘s battery mate and the man who famously suggested we “Fear The Beard” has continued to pitch, even going as far as to sign with San Francisco’s biggest rivals – the Los Angeles Dodgers.
That marriage didn’t last very long and probably left Dodgers faithful wanting to fight Wilson, which is a bid ironic considering Wilson himself once challenged Pittsburgh Pirates fans to a fight.
During the San Francisco Giants’ fan fest, reliever Javier Lopez brought up a story involving the former eccentric closer and stated Wilson challenged heckling Pirates fans to a fight, even asking police handling bullpen security to allow them onto the field.
Lopez told story of Pitt fans heckling Wilson all game. Wilson ripped hoodie off, challenged them to fight, asked cop to let them in ‘pen.

This of course doesn’t sound very far fetched considering what we know if Brian Wilson, though it’s obvious the pitcher knew the fans weren’t going to get on the field and he could bark away as much as he wanted.
Of course, I’m sure the Giants weren’t pleased with such antics and it probably played a part in his eventual departure.
