It appears as if there is no love lost between Toronto Blue Jays infielder Josh Donaldson and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim coach Mike Butcher.
After Donaldson struck out in the sixth inning, he returned to the Blue Jays dugout where he was seen talking with a member of their staff. Moments later he could be seen looking across the baseball diamond into the Angels dugout where he began to cuss and eventually suggested the Angels coach ‘suck his c**k’ before the home plate umpire eventually called time to stop the two men from arguing.
I’m not sure what’s more amusing here – Josh Donaldson cussing or the fact the camera operater at the game couldn’t tell what was going on after the first f-bomb was dropped and continued to watch the situation spiral downward.
As for the reasoning behind the outburst, nobody is really saying what caused Josh Donaldson to unleash the venom. However, the third baseman did spend time in the American League West with the Oakland Athletics before, so he likely has a prior relationship with Butcher – though obviously it’s not the best.
Eventually cooler heads did prevail but that was a pretty amusing exchange, even though it appeared to be rather one-sided.
