Adrian Beltre Sends Invoice To Angels For Broken Bats

Adrian Beltre

Okay, you probably didn’t need any additional reasons to believe Adrian Beltre was awesome. I mean, this is the same guy who nearly has a meltdown anytime somebody touches his head.

But in the rare case that you did, you’ll probably get a chuckle out of his most recent antics which include sending an invoice to the rival Los Angeles Angeles.

So what took place? Well, over the weekend, Beltre had a pretty difficult time with the stick as he broke at least three bats during the Texas Rangers series with the Angels. He wasn’t very appreciative of such, so he decided to send the Angels an invoice so they could pay for his broken bats.

Garrett Richards came into the Angels’ clubhouse proudly holding a piece of paper Saturday afternoon. Texas third baseman Adrian Beltre had sent him an invoice for $300 after Richards broke three of his bats Friday night.

It was a real invoice, like Beltre went to an office-supply store and bought a pack of them or something. “Cash only, no checks,” he wrote above his signature.

Seriously, where did he get a real invoice? Sure, he could have asked a clubhouse attendant for one I guess, but dude really thought it out as opposed to just getting a piece of paper and sending it across the hallway.

I've written on a lot of your favorite websites while I live in my mother's basement. If you only knew what a hard time I'm having holding these alligators down. Woo. | Twitter: @GuyHut | FB: @GuyHutSports
